We are one of the few companies in Seattle that diagnose and repair tankless water heaters

While tankless water heaters are great for heating water faster a tankless water heaterand more efficiently than tank water heaters, they do require regular maintenance to continue to run consistently.

There are some common problems that come with owning and maintaining a tankless water heater. Here are some issues you may face and the best way for us to fix them:

Low water pressure – this could be caused by a number of things. There could be sediment build-up inside the waterways. This is a normal occurrence with tankless heaters. It is recommended to have annual maintenance done to prevent the build up from becoming a problem. We flush out and descale the system to make it reliable. Once the build-up is removed, water pressure will return to normal. Some models have filters that need to be cleaned and/or replaced.

Gas line problems – One thing to keep in mind is that a tankless water heater requires larger gas pipelines as they burn more fuel when running compared to tank types.. If these pipelines are not sized correctly it could cause some serious malfunctions.

The heater is too noisy – the fan in the heater may need to be cleaned or replaced.

Another issue may be a leak in the sealed combustion area of the heater. This is a serious concern. Proper maintenance will help avoid issues like these from happening.

Water isn’t hot enough – The water not getting hot enough could be caused by numerous issues involving the sensors and or water flow through the unit.
